'Resilience Theory' Article to be Published in 'Brain Injury'
In the latest issue of Brain Injury (June 2013, Vol. 27, No. 7-8), an article authored by Doctors Emilie E. Godwin and Jeffrey S. Kreutzer provides a commentary on the potential benefits of implementing Resilience Theory for use in treating patients following brain injury. The authors also explore the paradigm shift which has led to the rise of the resilience movement as well as the usefulness of resilience theory in practice. The culminating message describes how the hallmarks of resilient populations and post-TBI emotional needs are currently presented and how the integration of the two may lead to greater success.
The article's full title is Embracing a new path to emotional recovery: Adopting resilience theory in post-TBI psychotherapy. See the abstract here.
