BIFI / BIFI-A Training Returns to Holland Bloorview: Toronto, Canada
For the 4th year in a row, VCU researchers have been asked to come to Toronto, Ontario to provide BIFI training to Canadian practitioners. The Toronto trainings are a unique opportunity for attendees because VCU staff partners with Caron Gan, creator of the BIFI-A (Brain Injury Family Intervention for Adolescents), and her team to provide comprehensive training options.
This 2 or 3 day workshop will be held at one of Canada’s leading children’s hospitals: Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. Participants may choose to attend either the two day portion – one day of introductory training on working with whole families after TBI and a second day of specialized instruction in either the BIFI or BIFI-A – or they may select the three day option which adds on a third day Advanced Training Workshop.
While the Canadian ABI Network sponsors these annual trainings to increase the number of competent brain injury practitioners in Ontario, the trainings are open to practitioners from across the globe. Are you interested in being trained in the BIFI or BIFI-A? Combine an opportunity for specialized training with a trip to Toronto!
Training dates will be November 16th – 18th. Mark the dates on your calendar now! Registration information will be available through www.bifi.us soon.
