BIFI Co-Creator Caron Gan to Present at IBIA World Congress in San Francisco

TBI Model System grant advisory committee member and Brain Injury Family Intervention (BIFI) co-creator Caron Gan will be presenting an abstract at the IBIA World Congress to be held March 19-22nd in San Francisco, California. The data being presented shows statistically significant improvements for attendees in all of the 5 areas evaluated in the BIFI & BIFI-A.

The programs and its protocols, developed by Jeffrey Kreutzer, Ph.D. and Emilie Godwin, Ph.D., are based on the trainings conducted with Dr. Kreutzer and Dr. Godwin over the course of 4 years. Trainings are still available with Dr. Kreutzer and Dr. Godwin upon request. The success of the BIFI is a meaningful indicator for the two ongoing studies at VCU; the Resilience and Adjustment Intervention and the Therapeutic Couples Intervention which were developed using the BIFI training protocols.
