New Whole-Family Pilot Intervention Study

VCU PM&R, VCU Social Work, and BIAV are partnering to conduct a pilot study on the effects of BIFI modules implemented in a multi-family group weekend retreat setting. In addition to providing BIFI materials and structure to adults with a TBI and their partners, complementary, developmentally appropriate therapeutic materials will be delivered to the children of participants. Researchers are enthusiastic about bringing whole family services, based on the established BIFI curriculum, to survivors, caregivers, and children in a supportive group format.

If you work with survivors who are either married or co-habitating and have children between the ages of 6 - 18, please consider referring them for this pilot program. You can download the flyer here, or interested persons may contact Dr. Emilie Godwin - 828.3701 - for more information.
